Deluxe Refined Shea Olein is a 100% pure Shea oil derived from our high-quality refined Shea butter through a process of fractionation. Shea Olein is achieved when we fractionate Shea butter by melting it and separating the liquid oil (olein) from the solid parts (stearin). The separation process is non-chemical and involves a simple physical operation.

Shea olein is mostly used as an ingredient in cosmetics. It is good for damaged hair and dry skin, as it penetrates quickly. Shea olein is also used in pharmaceuticals and aromatherapy.

Shea Olein is a valuable ingredient in cosmetics due to its high content of unsaponifiables, the most healing fraction. It is believed to have exceptional nourishing, protective and reparative properties, which may help with aging and/or irritated skin. It also enhances the effectiveness of massage oil and leaves hair feeling healthier and more supple.

Shea olein is an excellent component of Shea butter used in many cosmetic products, since it is more concentrated in unsaponifiable compounds (minimum 6%), and liquid at room temperature, making it easier to use. It is used in the composition of many products, such as hair care, skin care, sun care, as well as lip balms and lipsticks.

Its high levels of unsaponifiable compounds such as tocopherols, phytosterols, triterpens and karitens give it several cosmetic properties. It protects against oxidation and encourages epidermal regeneration and skin elasticity. It makes the skin and hair soft, supple, and moisturised.

Shea olein is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and is suitable for sensitive or weakened skin. It reduces the loss of moisture from the skin’s surface (known as transepidermal water loss) by forming a protective film, leaving skin deeply moisturised and shielded.
